If you have the opportunity to attend this years Charlotte Pet Expo a few things you’ll see at the event are:

  • Dog Agility Demonstration – Highland Canine Training will be doing an Agility for Fun demonstration. The dogs and handlers will demonstrate agility basics such as jumping over agility jumps and jumping through tires, negotiating a teeter, and driving through weave poles.
  • Pet Costume Contest – Show off your pet dressed in their best Howl-O-Ween costume for the super popular Pet Costume Contest!  If you’re looking for some ideas for great pet costumes take a look at our post on dog costumes.
  • Pet Talent Contest – Show off your pets amazing talent at the Pet Talent Contest.  Hmmm…if I were to enroll Stetson I guess we’d have to show off his sniffer dog skills!
  • Adoption Event News – A number of pet rescues will be participating in the Charlotte Pet Expo so if you’re looking to get a dog we highly recommend adopting a rescue dog.  We rescued our Australian Shepherd mix, Linus from the dog shelter several years ago.

As we’ve mentioned in the past this is the first year we’ve been trying to promote events outside of California and because we cannot attend these events we’d love to hear your feedback.  Now you might be wondering why we out here in Southern California are promoting an event all the way in Charlotte, NC?  Well, after reviewing last years web analytics report we noticed we received over 9,000 visitors from the state of North Carolina alone.  We therefore thought a number of our visitors would be interested in Pet Expos around the globe.

What do you think?  Have you attended the Charlotte Pet Expo in the past or do you plan on attending this year.  If so tell us about it in the comment section below.
