The Pet Expo Houston 2011 is right around the corner! Are you planning on attending?
We certainly wish that we could fly out to Houston, TX and attend an out of state (we live in California) pet expo, but unfortunately it’s not in our budget to travel across the globe to visit pet expos, shows, and events outside of driving distance.
Here are the details on the upcoming Pet Expo Houston 2011:

Here are a few more details on the Houston Pet Expo 2011:
- Agility – The dogs and handlers will demonstrate agility basics such as jumping over agility jumps and jumping through tires, negotiating a teeter, and driving through weave poles. Information regarding how to get started in agility, a list of local agility clubs, and a question and answer session will follow the agility demonstration
- Pet Costume Contest – Show off your pet dressed in their best costume for the super popular Pet Costume Contest! Contest will consist of several categories: Best Large Pet Costume, Best Small Pet Costume, and Kid’s Choice.
- Pet Talent Contest – Does your pet have an amazing talent? Here’s your chance to show it off! To enter, bring your pet to the main stage and be ready to dance, jump, sing, or whatever your specialty may be. Contest will consist of one category: Best Trick.
- Adoption Event – Check out the floor plan in your program when you enter the expo and it will show you exactly where to go. Whether you’re looking for a furry, feathered or reptile friend, you’ll find one here!
We’re located in Southern California and it’s not a surprise that the majority of our visitors come from California. However, a large percentage of our visitors come from outside California. In fact, we’ve received more visitors from Texas then we have from any other state besides our home state (CA). In 2010 alone we received over 21,000 visitors from the great state of Texas!
As I’ve mentioned in the past the Orange County Pet Expo is one of our favorite events of the year. Over the past few months we’ve been trying to find information on Pet Expo’s across the country and because TX is number two on our list for most visitors to our site we wanted to share with you information on this years Houston Pet Expo 2011.
