Happy New Year to everyone and welcome back to another edition of the Puppy In Training Blog Carnival. We had a total of eleven articles submitted this month (yay a new record!), but some sites submitted multiple articles. Unfortunately we’re only allowing one article per website. Thank you everyone for your submissions and for those of you who submitted multiple articles I went ahead and posted my favorite article to this edition of the blog carnival.
Puppy In Training Blog Carnival #4
Our first article comes from the I, Me, Myself blog and is titled Defenseless Victims of Reckless Driving. Make sure you have your tissue box nearby as this tells a sad story of a “Defenseless” little puppy. Here’s a direct quote from the article: “I also hope that the readers of this blog-post will help spread the word around, since none of the animal-rights organisations in India seem to focus on prevention or to campaign for punitive legislation.”
You guys might get a kick out of the article Dogs Response to Recent Study Announcing Dogs Possess Sense of Fairness from the Small and Big blog. Check out the title of this article…it’s literally the “dogs response”
A little late for the holidays, but I think everyone will enjoy this little holiday video from the GrrrlScientist blog. Check out the video A Doggy Christmas Surprise. A definite must see if you’re missing the holidays.
The Pinoy Pet Blog has once again joined us here at the Puppy In Training Blog Carnival. This time around they are sharing some very important information on Pet Insurance. Check out their latest article Pet Dog Insurance: For Your Dog’s Sake.
Nancy’s Arts, Crafts, and Favorites writes about a topic that I’ve been thinking about for a while…Therapy Dog Certification. Libby the Maltipoo just gained her certification with TDI (Therapy Dogs International). Visit’s Nancy’s site at Therapy Dog Now Certified by TDI to find out more information.
There are many important aspects of dog ownership one of those being the subject or our next article: Dog Grooming. Check out the blog Thoughtfully Vikram… The latest blog article is called Dog Grooming Tips! Grooming My Dog! Grooming Your Dog How To! and does a thorough job of addressing the main areas of dog grooming. One important point I’d like to mention is regarding bathing your dog. Thoughtfully Vikram… mentions placing a rubber mat to prevent slipping. I must say this is very important because most dogs will be very uncomfortable in the tub to begin with…adding a slippery floor will just make things worse.
Our final article comes from the Breeds of Dog website and has to do with the all important subject of Potty Training Your Puppy. Some great tips on how to potty train your puppy and as the article mentions this is not always an easy process so be prepared when you bring home that new puppy. As a Guide Dog puppy raiser we are required to crate train our puppies.
