We recently received notification that we had been invited to participate in the TrainPetDog.com 2010 Dog Blog Award – the first contest of its kind on the internet designed to identify the 20 best dog-related blogs on the web.
I was quite interested in this competition for several reasons.
- First, I had already started a post on my 20 favorite dog blogs based on the blogs I read in my daily RSS Feed. I will postpone the article until after I have a chance to review the blog finalists in the 2010 Dog Blog Award Competition.
- Second, it can be great exposure for the PuppyInTraining.com blog.
- Third, it will give me a chance to develop relationships with my fellow bloggers.

So how do you vote for PuppyInTraining.com?
- Go to the TrainPetDog.com website: http://www.trainpetdog.com
- Enter the PuppyInTraining.com code into the yellow form in the middle of the page (see image below). Our code is: 7A1uL
- Click the submit button. I believe you get a pop-up after clicking submit, but my pop-up blocker blocked the message.
That’s it. Now tell all your friends to please vote for the PuppyInTraining.com website by going to http://www.trainpetdog.com and submitting our code 7A1uL to the website. If you really love our website and love social media then feel free to send a tweet on twitter, tell your friends about us on facebook or myspace, give us a thumbs up in StumbleUpon, tag us in delicious, or give us props in any of the other social media sites out there (there are so many it’s tough to keep track).
By the way, we’d love to see more participants in the 2010 Dog Blog Award. If you own a dog blog then you can sign up for the contest by going to the dog blog contest form.

The first stage of the contest just ended and they removed the contest from the front page of their website. The good news is I received an email yesterday letting me know that my blog, Puppy In Training was selected as 1 of the 20 finalists.
In the second stage of the contest, TrainPetDog will ask their newsletter subscribers to vote for a winner from the 20 finalists in the competition. I’ll get more information about the contest in another blog post.
