Are you looking to adopt a puppy? If so, you’re in luck because the Super Pet Adoption at the Irvine Animal Care Center is right around the corner. Can you believe this year is the 6th annual Super Pet Adoption? We attended the inaugural event way back in 2007. Stetson was a guide dog puppy in training back then probably only about 6 months old. I think we even helped out for a little bit at the Guide Dogs of America (GDA) booth.

As far as I know GDA does not have a booth at this years Super Pet Adoption, but there are still tons of other fun things to do. Here’s a look at some of the details for this years Irvine Super Pet Adoption:

Are We Going To The Super Pet Adoption?

Wow!  I can’t believe that this is the largest one day pet adoption event in orange county considering the OC Pet Expo is also located in Orange County!

We haven’t adopted a dog from an animal rescue or shelter since Linus way back in 2005.  However, we have helped out some of the rescues with donations as well as volunteering as foster parents for dogs and puppies.  We love supporting all the hard work these rescues do to help adoptable animals find new forever homes.  We plan on going to this years Super Pet Adoption, but Apache, our guide dog puppy in training will most likely stay home for this event.

If you’re looking to adopt a new pet (remember they have dogs, cats, rabbits, small animals, and I’ve even seen chickens and pigs!) then you should attend this years Irvine Pet Adoption.  Even if you’re not looking for a new pet, but love animals then it’s a wonderful chance to visit the wonderful rescues, vendors, adoptable animals, check out the volunteer opportunities, or make a donation.

So what do you guys think?  Are you going to this years Super Pet Adoption?  Have you gone in the past?  If so, what did you think about it?  Tell us your thoughts in the comment section below.
