I’ve known about the BarkWorld Expo for a while now, but unfortunately I was unable to attend the BarkWorld Expo last year. However, I’m hoping to change that this year and plan on making a visit to Atlanta, Georgia for BarkWorld 2012! Have you ever been to the Barkworld Expo?
If you’ve attended BarkWorld in the past then you know all about the event, but did you know about the new features they plan on adding to the conference. Here are a few bullet points from one of their blog posts.
- Longer sessions!
- Roundtable discussions
- Entrepreneurship for Pet Professionals
- Showcasing & best practices in gaming & pet mobile apps
- Video & video editing
- More lifestyle sessions, i.e. “Using Social Media to Find Your Next Pet-Related Career”; “Agility & My Dog”; “DIY & Home Improvement for Pet Parents”
So what, when, and where does Barkworld 2012 happen? Here are the details:
What: BarkWorld 2012

3391 Peachtree Road Ne.

What’s BarkWorld all about?
Who’s Barkworld? – Founded in 2009, BarkWorld Expo was created by Denise Quashie, Social Media Strategist for Socially Planned. After putting her dog, Frankie Beans, on Twitter she realized there was a large pet loving community using social media; however there was little education being provided at other pet expositions and conferences for this community. Being an award-winning event & social media producer, Denise thought it only made sense to create a conference for this community. With that, she created BarkWorld Expo and has continued to build strong online support for the cause of sharing and educating pet lovers within social media.
It sounds like a lot of fun! I’ve attended BlogWorld in the past and I imagine BarkWorld 2012 will be something similar, but with a focus on new media and social media education for pets.
As I mentioned in the in my 2012 goal post 2 of my goals for this year are to attend to of the major petworking events of the year: Blog Paws 2012 and BarkWorld 2012. They are definitely going to be some travelling expenses getting out to Salt Lake City, UT and Atlanta, GA, but I’m sure it will all be worth it.
How about you? Have you ever been to the BarkWorld Expo? Are you planning on going to BarkWorld 2012?
