Every once in a while I go on vacation without the dogs and I often wonder:
“Could I have taken my dogs with me? Does this city have pet friendly hotels?”
I recently visited sin city, that’s right Las Vegas!
I never even considered bringing the dogs considering I was going to be playing in a hockey tournament, hanging out with friends, and doing a little gambling.
Where would there be room for the dogs?
Saturday night we were walking over to Toby Keith’s “I love this bar” to have a few libations and listen to some country music.
On the way into the Harrahs Hotel I came across this sign:
I was quite surprised and interested at the same time.
I knew there were probably some pet friendly hotels in Las Vegas maybe somewhere along the outskirts of town, but this was at Harrahs right in the middle of the strip!
I made sure to take a picture as I knew my memory would fail me and I’m glad I did.
The next day I got on the internet and looked up PetStay in Las Vegas and was surprised to find that Harrahs was not the only hotel on the stip that allowed dogs to stay at the hotel.
Pet Friendly Hotels In Las Vegas…Well Actually Dog Friendly Hotels…
As I mentioned I searched and found information on the PetStay resorts which is program through Caesars Entertainmen.
Here’s the information from their website:
We allow Service Animals in all our locations. I hope they also allow Service Animal Puppies In Training like Apache at all locations.
Caesars PetStay program is available at many of our locations. Participating PetStay resorts each have the following pet policy:
- Dogs are the only animals allowed under the PetStay program.
- Dogs staying at any of the participating hotels must weigh 50 pounds or less and be present at the time of check- in.
- Up to 2 dogs per room are allowed
- Dogs are permitted to walk through designated common areas while on a leash and accompanied by the owner.
- Check in time for PetStay rooms is 4pm. Dog owners must be prepared to accommodate your dogs until your room is ready.
- Dogs must be kenneled or out of the room during housekeeping. (Housekeeping may be scheduled at your convenience, but housekeeping must be allowed to service your guest room at a minimum of every other day.)

If the resort you are interested in does not participate in the PetStay program, we have provided additional information for boarding your pet during your stay.
If the property you are visiting is not listed below, please call the hotel direct for local information.
As far as to my knowledge the first 8 hotels listed above are in Pet Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas and 7 out of the 8 are on the strip. That’s pretty darn cool!
One thing I did note is that the PetStay program is for dogs only so sorry to all of you other pet owners out there.
Maybe the program should have been labled DogStay since they are all dog friendly hotels and not the all inclusive pet friendly hotels.
Lucky for me I’m all about the dogs, but one other problem is my 3 dogs are 59 lbs, 70 lbs, and 82 lbs!?
I wonder if I could get a waiver on the weight limit?
Oh well, I’m just glad to see that Caesar’s Entertainment is catering to us dog lovers.
How about you?
Did you know about these pet friendly hotels (dog friendly hotels)?
If so, have you stayed at any of them? I’d love to hear about your experiences in he comment section below.
