Some extreme awesomeness coming into today’s episode of Puppy In Training TV.  Rather than tell you exactly what’s going to happen I’d rather have you watch our latest video.

As you can already tell from the title this is about visiting the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, CA.  This was a great outing for Dublin and our other puppies in training, but make sure you watch the video all the way to the end because there is a special announcement.

Hi Everyone!  Long time no see!   Dublin is still at Guide Dog College.  This is Stetson, Linus, and our new Guide Dog Puppy In Training, Apache.  Welcome to this episode of Puppy In Training TV.

With Linus Aussie Shepherd Rescue
Also Colby The Human
And Stetson Career Changed Guide Dog
Guest Appearance Apache

The last few months I’ve been working really hard with this big boy…Apache, but I’ve also recently been hearing a few whispers about Dublin.  So what does that mean!? You’ll have to watch the rest of the video to find out.

It’s been nearly 6 months since we dropped off Dublin at college.  During that time he’s written us 4 postcards telling us all about his guide dog training.

Today we came across one of Dublin’s lost videos and decided we’d like to share it with you.

Dublin and I visited the Sawdust Festival along with a couple other Puppies In Training.

The Sawdust Festival is a little arts in crafts village open during the the summertime in Laguna Beach, CA.

We parked down the street so Dublin could experience the tram.  And as you can see he’s pretty interested in looking out as we zoom on down the road.

We hopped off the tram and then followed Miles and Chuck through the front door of the Sawdust Festival

You might not notice it from the video, but there are tons of wood chips on the ground…a great distraction and a good time to work on our Leave It command.

Dublin is doing a pretty good job with his heelling and I’m getting a chance to check out some of Laguna Beach’s local art work.

We’ve come across open stairs in the past, but every staircase is a little bit different so this is another great chance to work on a loose leash heel.

After walking around for a while Dublin and I…mostly me need a break.

We noticed they were doing glass work. I thought it would be good for Dublin to see, smell, and hear some of the things happening near the oven.

We headed back down the stairs and noticed this funky fountain so I had Dublin sit next to it…no Dublin that’s not your new water bowl!

Next we headed over to the Long Branch Saloon for the wine and beer garden!  Actually we just ordered a bite to eat…no booz today!

Dublin was a good boy and relaxed under the table while we ate then we headed outside to wait for the tram.

Dublin was a little bit excited for the tram ride so I made sure he waited before boarding.

This tram was a little bit different then the first one.  It was not as open to the street, but another good new experience for Dublin.

So here we are at the end of our day exiting the tram, saying by to Chuck and Miles, and back in the car driving home.

A special thanks to Anne Gunderson and the Sawdust Festival for allowing our puppies in training to experience your wonderful event!

Just putting in some final touches on today’s video.  These are the 4 postcards Dublin sent us over the past 6 months.  We also heard there were a few Dublin sightings on the GDA campus.  And today, we found out Dublin has been matched with a young lady from Arizona!  YAY!!!!

So Dublin is all set to graduate on April 22nd at 10am and we’d love for any and everyone to come join us at graduation.  Here’s the address of the Guide Dogs of America Campus:

I’m so excited for Dublin and his new partner!  If you can’t make graduation don’t worry, we’ll make sure to have a Puppy In Training TV Graduation Episode.

That’s it for today!  Thanks for joining us and we’ll see you next time!

My Final Thoughts On The Sawdust Festival And Graduation

The Sawdust Festival is an awesome outing for puppies in training and I highly recommend you visit them in the summer if you have the chance.  Dublin did well riding the tram and walking around the art’s and crafts.  He even left the wood chips on the ground alone most of the time.  All in all a very good day.

I’m so excited about the upcoming graduation that I might not be able to sleep between now and then.  I’m so proud of Dublin!  I can’t wait to see him on stage in his harness.

As I mentioned earlier Dublin’s graduation is open to everyone and we’d love to see all his family, friends, and fans at GDA in Sylmar on April 22nd, 2012 at 10am.  If you do stop by please stop by and say hello.

That’s it for today.  I hope to see you all soon!  Take care!
